Looks: Standing at 6 ft 2in Asuma is not the most muscular person but is in no way thin. His hair is a pure snow white which highlights the vivid forest green of his eyes.
Personality: If one word could describe Asuma it would be wisdom. Everything he does or says is driven by his deep understanding of life and everything that makes up life. His actions are subtle. His words are resounding. He exudes an aura of calm which washes over those around him. And yet he chooses to place himself amid the chaos that is Soul Society. He is a watching guardian who is reluctant to act. Only when he believes destiny to be wrong will he intercede on the behalf of someone thus changing their destiny. He is a weaver, a mastermind. His actions all lead to one unknown result.
History/Background Story:
The Rukon districts have always been filled with a plethora of odd characters. People who stand out and awe those around them. One of these characters was a shadow who guided those around him. No one knew exactly who he or she was only that they were to be trusted. Those graced by this shadows presence became leaders in the Rukon. And one day it all ended. That very same day a new class of shinigami began at the academy. Amongst them was Asuma Lacrima.
In Life Asuma was a book store owner who filled his days with fantasy worlds and writing his own "master piece". His world was satisfying and important in his eyes. His store became a hot spot for up and coming writers who sought the advice of an unsung hero with in the literary field. And just before his novel was to be published, Asuma was murdered for the money in his cash drawer, a small amount of $128. He was found quickly and guided to Soul Society where he faded from all records.
At the academy he became a favorite of several teachers, not only for his uncanny wit but for his unstoppable ambition. He progressed quickly at the academy and was chosen for early admission to Squad 5.
Within the Tactical Squad Asuma quickly proved his worth devising military defense tactics which quickly became the official procedure. He rose in ranks with a swiftness that was simply remarkable. He became vice captain of the squad and finally hit a wall.
After five decades as a vice captain Asuma went rogue. After five years he has returned, changed in some odd way.
